Deep-fried Thai Calamari
 
Ingredients:  
9 oz Ocean Jewel Squid Rings and Tentacles
1/4 cup Semolina flour
1/4 cup All-purpose flour
1/4 cup Fine corn flour
1/4 cup Corn starch
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Dry basil or oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup Red pepper, julienned
1/4 cup Mango, julienned
2 tbsp Cilantro (coarsely chopped)
1/4 cup Sweet Thai chili sauce
Lemon or lime wedges for garnish
 
DIRECTIONS:

1. Rinse and pat dry Ocean Jewel Squid Rings and Tentacles.

2. Mix all dry ingredients.

3. Dust squid in the mixture.

4. Pre-heat fryer to 350 ºF and deep-fry squid for about 1.5 minutes until golden brown. Do not overcook.

5. Place on a plate and garnish with the red peppers, mango, cilantro. Place sweet Thai chili sauce in a small ramekin and add to plate. Add lemon or lime wedges.

6. Serve
